Courtney & Josh Bridals, Big Cottonwood Canyon
Utah mountains. I. love. you.
My brother and newest sister-in-law flew me out to Utah for their winter wonderland bridals and I could have died of happiness right on the spot, right there in the middle of the mountains. I’ll always be a mountain girl at heart and so I’m sure you can imagine my happiness when my brother told me their mountain snow globe vision for these bridals.
The first look was so tender. I didn’t expect anything less. Courtney was a winter goddess and Josh was so sharp. Tears were flowing from all parties involved. Ugh. I get butterflies just thinking back on this shoot. I really could have posted all of the images from their gallery but I was able to narrow it down to my absolute faves. Enjoy…
Chelsie & Wilson Formals, Alpine
We adventured on the picturesque mountainsides of Alpine and found soooo many gorgeous spots. We even managed to find a few poppies! The lighting was dramatic and Chelsie and Wilson looked absolutely perfect. I loved Chelsie’s spring themed floral crown and the lace detail on her dress was insane. I had way too many favorite from this one…enjoy!
Ashley & Logan Bridals, Big Cottonwood Canyon
The contrast of Ashley's soft blush pink wedding dress against the rocky mountain scenery was too die for. Incredible. Together Logan and Ashley looked like they were king and queen of the mountain. They traveled from Texas for their wedding and wanted a location that was very "Utah-esque", and I think this was the perfect spot. Jaw-dropping views from every angle and multi colored rocks and trees made it feel like we were in a few different locations all at once. The way that these two looked at each other the whole time made my heart flutter. Such a sweet, sweet session. Be on the lookout for their beautiful wedding day!
Amanda & Dustin Bridals, AF Canyon
Just getting caught up on some summer time blogging! Normally bridal sessions are flowing with love and excited butterflies and heart eyes, but these two were OVERFLOWING with love. It was contagious! These two were fantastic together and were so giddy the whole time. I loved Amanda's gorgeous lace dress that was a great pairing with Dustin's blue suit. All their details came together perfectly! We had to change our location from Albion Basin to AF canyon last second, and I am just so glad we went to AF canyon. The deep green pines against the blue-green lake water reminds me so much of lakes in the Durango, Colorado area, which is where Amanda and Dustin are from. I love the new boardwalk addition to the reservoir and am glad we got to try it out (don't be fooled--there were at least a million people there that day!). Thank goodness for Photoshop, right? Enjoy ❤
Nichelle & Paul Bridals, Squaw Peak
This is one of my favorite locations ever. Nestled high up in Rock canyon with golden, rolling meadows, stunning mountain views, beautiful aspen groves, and it all overlooks the valley. We weren't totally sure how the meadow was going to look late October with most of the fall leaves gone, but it was INCREDIBLE. The warm neutral palette was perfect for a rustic, scenic location. We started up in an aspen grove to film the first look, and it was completely a scene out of a movie. So heartfelt and romantic. We then traveled into the meadow and had the most beautiful light and views. I was in love with everything that Nikki was adorned with - her lace dress, cathedral veil, and classic fur shawl. Paul looked exceptional in his navy blue suit and his swooped hair. We had some fun with some pineapple, unicorn, T-Rex, and baseball hat props too! Scroll down to see them!
Hannah & Brandon Wedding Day, Salt Lake Temple
This wedding was one that I was much looking forward to attending. I just knew it was going to be a dream. It started as a gorgeous sunny day at the Salt Lake Temple, where much to my surprise, we didn't have to wait in line to shoot at the coveted temple steps. Hannah and Brandon were just beaming the entire time. Bridal party photos were such a blast and they were very open to everything I set them up to do. A beautiful luncheon followed the ceremony at the Lion House in Salt Lake. It was elegant and romantic. Even the decor matched their wedding colors! It was so sweet to hear Hannah and Brandon talk about each other. The reception was held at the groom's parent's house in Pleasant View. Side note: I want to live there. The city is charming and lives up to it's name with jaw dropping views of the valley. The reception was also jaw dropping. Every nook and cranny was full of intricate vintage details. They were thoughtfully placed and brought so much interest. Not to mention the amazing light up LOVE sign by the pool - one of my favorite details! But my favorite detail of all was Hannah and Brandon and how perfect they were together. Sweetness just emanates from them. Congratulations you two! May you have the best life together and forever!
Maddi & Hayden Bridals, Provo Orchard
I looove first looks. They never cease to be heart melting and maybe a little emotional (for me, oops). Hayden's reaction to seeing Maddi in her wedding dress was perfect and I don't think he could have grinned any bigger. And let's not forget how excited Maddi was to see his reaction! We got to shoot at the orchard during it's prime blossom time (read: crawling with millions of people) but as always, it was worth it. I think it was a perfect setting for their soft romantic look. Be prepared to swoon...
